Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Face And Body Acne

For the many millions of people worldwide who suffer with acne, the fact that it is the most common of all skin complaints is no consolation and it is not solely a condition suffered by young people. Although not confined to teenagers, it is usually at this point in their lives when it is more likely to show and the figures indicate that as many as 9 out of 10 people will have acne at some time during their life.

Acne Treatment

Our sebaceous glands produce oil called sebum which fouls up the hair follicles and contributes to acne but this is not the only substance responsible. Acne is the result of the sebum in the pores and not the skin itself although the condition does seem to be a modern problem and not something we have always had to live with.

Among the many causes of clogged pores are the use of makeup, everyday air particles and often a simple case of hormonal changes but while acne is a part of life for many individuals, it can be effectively treated. Other factors can be responsible too, like the consumption of too much junk and reprocessed food, which is high in unhealthy sugars.

More persistent cases of acne will probably need stronger medication which can be prescribed by a dermatologist. Once a dermatologist has been consulted then he will check on the effectiveness of the medication on a regular basis and monitor to see whether other treatment is necessary. The person suffering with acne must remember not to scratch at or attempt to remove and pimples as any bacteria carried beneath the nails could cause further infection.

This means that fingernails need to be kept clean and not dismissed because they look clean as almost all bacteria and germs are invisible to the naked human eye. So wherever possible, it is advisable to keep the hands, especially fingernails away from any acne spots.

Derma Cleanse

As very few people have completely blemish free skin, there is a good chance that if you haven’t had acne that you may well experience it at some stage especially if your parents suffered with it as well. By far the biggest reason for acne is when a youth child enters into puberty and the change in hormone levels associated with that period.

If necessary, acne sufferers should consult a dermatologist or qualified physician for acne treatment.

You are absolutely correct that acne sufferers should consult a dermatologist for acne treatment and the person suffering with acne should not scratch at or attempt to remove and pimples as any bacteria carried beneath the nails could cause further infection.
