Getting Rid of Blackheads with Home Remedies

Getting rid of blackheads can be a hassle and frustrating. Blackheads are not only embarrassing, especially when you notice that people are always staring at them, but they are downright ugly. Above all, the blackheads on the nose are the problem, because they stand out and draw attention. So, it might be useful to share some tips about home remedies to get rid of those unsightly blackheads.

1. Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day; instead wash your face often with plain water splashes. While you do that, keep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair on skin can help spread infection. Use a gentle soap that doesn’t make your skin dry or itchy.

2. Another home remedy for blackheads is drinking water. There are a lot of toxins in your bloodstream that causes you to breakout. By drinking plenty of water, you will flush the toxins out of your body. So, make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

3. Make a lotion with equal parts of lime juice, almond oil and glycerin and apply on the face. It will not only remove blackheads, but the discoloring spots on the face too.

4. Honey can be another good natural remedy to get rid of blackheads. Warm a little honey and apply on the trouble area. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.

5. How to remove blackheads with egg whites? Beat an egg white then add 1 tsp of honey. With a cotton swab apply on the blackheads area and leave it there for half an hour. Rinse with warm water and pat it dry. After that rub some olive oil on your face and wipe the excess off with a piece of cloth.

6. Also olive or almond oil can be good blackhead remover. Simply follow these steps to get the most of this powerful home remedy. First, rinse your face with warm water to open your pores. Then, generously saturate a section of washcloth with olive or almond oil. Place a dab of toothpaste (not the gel kind) on the oily washcloth and gently and thoroughly rub the toothpaste over your nose with the oily cloth. Do it twice if you have a lot of blackheads. You can massage it into your whole face if you like. Add more oil or toothpaste if necessary. Wait about 5 minutes, then wash your face thoroughly with hot water and a clean washcloth.

7. Another way to get rid of blackheads is to mix salt with lime juice and rub it all over your face or only on blackheads areas.

8. Steam and moisturizers could be good ways for getting rid of blackheads, even though they are not home remedies per se. Put a hot towel over your face and let it sit there for about 10 minutes; that will make blackheads come to the surface. Wash with warm water and natural face wash . Close pores with cold water and apply oil-free moisturizer. Then rub alcohol on it for five minutes.

9. One additional natural way of removing blackheads is to use tomato. Cut the tomatoes into various shapes and sizes so that it can cover the curves around your nose. Then wash your face with warm water and pat dry. Place the tomato pieces where your blackheads are and leave there for 15 min then rinse off with warm water. Wait some time before putting moisturizer on.

As a general rule, squeezing and popping blackheads it’s not a good idea, you will only irritate them and cause them to spread. Also, don’t touch your blackheads if you have dirty or oily hands. It will irritate your skin and could cause a severe breakout.

Getting rid of blackheads requires patience and care. Using home remedies may be the best way to remove blackheads as they are natural and virtually free of side effects
